Communitary Trademarks

 

FILING REQUIREMENTS.

 

To file a Community Trade Mark we require:

 

  1. Applicant(s): Full name, nationality and address.

  2. List of goods/services: According to the International Classification of Goods and Services (Goods: Classes 1 to 34. Services: Classes 35 to 42).

  3. Priority under the Convention of Paris:

    1. precise information on the country and the date and number of the basic trade mark application;

    2. priority document (unlegalized certified copy of the basic application or an accurate photocopy of the official documents with details of the priority to be claimed); if not in one of the five OHIM languages (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish) a full translation shall be supplied.

  4. If seniority is to be claimed:

a.   precise information (country, date, number) of the earlier national or international registration(s) which seniority is to be claimed;

b.   unlegalized certified copy of the basic registration(s), or an accurate photocopy of the Certificate of Registration.

  1. Representation of the mark: In case of a design trademark with a drawing or a word mark with special display, a reproduction of said trademark is required.

 

  1. Power of Attorney: Signed by the Applicant or a legal representative of the applicant company. This document may be filed later within a period specified by the Office (OHIM).
