NEW !  As per April 21, 2007, the italian Government has decided to re-introduce the obligation to pay all filing fees concerning Italian patents and utility models, as well as all mantainance fees concerning Italian patents and granted European patents designating Italy. In what concerns the payment of mantainance fees, these are due as from the 5th one. The obligation to pay the mantainance fees has a retroactive effect as per January 1, 2007. Mantainance fees falling due since January 1, 2007 up to April 21, 2007 may be paid without surcharge until June 30, 2007, and with a surcharge of EUR 30,00 until December 31, 2007.
